MaltaFiles is publishing former Education Minister Justyne Caruana’s resignation letter.
The letter, written in Maltese reads:
“Dear Prime Minister,
I’m informing you that I’m resigning as Minister effective immediately without prejudice to my legal rights.
Thank you and I sent you my regards,
Justyne Caruana”
It is dated 22nd December 2021.
Justyne Caruana resigned as education minister in December 2021 following what Times of Malta described as a job-for-a-friend scandal.
Caruana had already resigned once before in January 2020 when she was occupying the post of Minister for Gozo following Times of Malta‘s reporting on her husband’s friendship with alleged the alleged mastermind of Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder Yorgen Fenech.
In October 2023, author Mark Camilleri said that Justyne Caruana was invited to attend the Malta Labour Party’s Annual General Conference.
